Our Black Cod tail fillets are flash-frozen and individually vacuum-sealed in 4 to 8 oz. packages with skin-on.
Frozen Black Cod fillets can be stored in your freezer for several months. Frozen black cod fillets can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be ran under cold water to speed this up considerably.
About 1/3 to 1/2 pound per person is a good portion size when serving black cod. You might find that black cod is so good that you'll want to prepare extra just in case.
