Garlic Shrimp on Skewers

Skewered fresh jumbo shrimp

  • Cook time: 3 to 4 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings


  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 Tbsp fresh Parsley, chopped finely
  • dash Red Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 2 Tbsp dry White Wine
  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced


For basting sauce, melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in garlic, parsley, and red pepper. Cook for about 1 minute. Stir in wine and heat through. Thread shrimp onto 4 long or 8 short metal skewers. Grill shrimp, uncovered, over medium-hot coals for 3 to 4 minutes or until pink, turning and brushing frequently with garlic butter sauce.
