Additional Product Info

Packaging:

Our Alaska scallops are frozen and vacuum-sealed in 1.25 lb. packages. They are shucked, cleaned, and ready to be prepared after thawing. These jumbo scallops are U-12 count, which means there are 12 or less scallops per pound.

Storing & Thawing:

Frozen scallops can be stored in your freezer for several months. Frozen scallops can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 to 16 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be ran under cold water to speed this up considerably

Serving Suggestions:

A one pound package of scallops would be good for 3 to 4 people. That would serve 2 to 3 jumbo scallops per person.

Health Benefits:

Scallops are more than 80 percent protein! One 3-ounce serving provides 20 grams of protein and just 95 calories. They are also a powerhouse of healthy omega-3 fatty acids. They're also a good source of both magnesium and potassium, two other nutrients that provide significant benefits for the cardiovascular system.
