  • Large, all-natural premium scallops.
  • Pack size 1.25 lbs average (+/- .1 lbs).
  • Frozen-at-sea; superb quality.

Alaska's cold-water scallops are renowned for their purity, and sweet flavor. You can sauté them, and they will caramelize beautifully, or wrap them in bacon and grill them. Yum!

These large scallops are frozen-at-sea into convenient 1.25 lb packs, and then vacuum-sealed to preserve their exceptional quality.

At FishEx, our scallops are always "dry-packed" - meaning they are 100% free of added phosphates, or extra water.

Product Info

Our Alaska scallops are frozen and vacuum-sealed in 1 lb. packages. They are shucked, cleaned, and ready to be prepared after thawing. These large scallops are 10-20 count, which means there are 10 to 20 scallops per pound.

Storing & Thawing:

Frozen scallops can be stored in your freezer for several months. Frozen scallops can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 to 16 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be ran under cold water to speed this up considerably.

Serving Suggestions:

A one pound package of large scallops would be good for 3 to 4 people. That would serve 5 to 6 scallops per person.

Health Benefits:

Scallops are more than 80 percent protein! One 3-ounce serving provides 20 grams of protein and just 95 calories. They are also a powerhouse of healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Scallops are an excellent source of a very important nutrient for cardiovascular health, vitamin B12. They're also a good source of both magnesium and potassium, two other nutrients that provide significant benefits for the cardiovascular system.

FishEx only offers "dry-packed" Alaska scallops that are all-natural and contain no water-absorbing phosphates.
