Additional Product Info

Packaging:

Our Alaska scallops are frozen and vacuum-sealed in 1.25 lb. packages. They are shucked, cleaned, and ready to be prepared after thawing. These petite-sized scallops are 30-40 count, meaning there are 30 to 40 scallops per pound.

Storing & Thawing:

Frozen scallops can be stored in your freezer for several months. Frozen scallops can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 to 16 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be run under cold water to speed this up considerably

Serving Suggestions:

A one-pound package of scallops would be good for 3 to 4 people. That would serve 8 to 12 scallops per person.

Health Benefits:

Scallops are more than 80 percent protein! One 3-ounce serving provides 20 grams of protein and just 95 calories. They are also a powerhouse of healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Scallops are an excellent source of vitamin B12, a crucial nutrient for cardiovascular health. They're also a good source of both magnesium and potassium, two other nutrients that provide significant benefits for the cardiovascular system.

FishEx only offers "dry-packed" Alaska scallops that are all-natural and contain no water-absorbing phosphates.
