Our Sidestripe shrimp come headless, shell-on, with tails and are packaged in clear plastic bags or boxes. Sidestripe shrimp are usually medium in size and have a count of about 30 to 40 per pound.
Frozen Sidestripe shrimp can be stored in your freezer for several months. Sidestripe shrimp can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be ran under cold water to speed this up considerably.
A one pound package of medium Sidestripe shrimp (30-40 count) would be good for 3 to 4 people if serving with other entrée additions. That would serve around 9 to 12 shrimp per person.
