Rock crab claw meat is great to blend with or substitute for Dungeness crab. It has a delicate texture very similar to Dungeness crab.
Rock crab are wild-caught in the pure coastal waters of Chile from a responsibly-managed, sustainable fishery. They are caught by artisanal fishermen using pots or diving and catching them by hand. The fishermen use single line pots and most of them haul the pots in by hand. Only artisanal fishermen are allowed to capture rock crab from the shoreline to five miles out. The Chilean government enforces regulations on the fishery by excluding large commercial vessels, setting size limits, carrying out test fisheries and enforcing fishery laws to ensure the fishery will be around for future generations.
This product ships frozen with dry ice and is ready to be held in your freezer. When you're ready to prepare, make sure to thaw under refrigeration for 12 to 24 hours prior to your meal.

Our Rock Crab claw meat is pre-cooked & flash-frozen. The frozen meat is vacuum-sealed & packaged in clear plastic bags for easy freezer storage.
Frozen Rock Crab meat can be stored in your freezer for several months. To thaw meat, place in the refrigerator a day prior to cooking. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be ran under cold water to speed up thawing considerably.
