Our wild peeled red shrimp are sealed in 1 lb packages and contain 20-30 shrimp per pound. They are headless, peeled, and flash-frozen to ensure the highest quality.
Frozen, vacuum-sealed shrimp can be stored in your freezer for several months. Shrimp can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be run under cold water to speed this up considerably.
A one-pound package would be good for 2 to 3 people if serving with other entrée additions. If serving as a "shrimp feast" then about twice this amount would suffice.
