Packaging:

Our extra-large spot shrimp are packaged in 2.2 lb. boxes and the size-count is 16 to 20 per pound. These shrimp are uncooked and flash-frozen at sea to ensure premium quality.

Storing & Thawing:

Our frozen, vacuum-sealed, spot shrimp can be stored in your freezer for several months. Spot shrimp can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be run under cold water to speed this up considerably.

Serving Sizes:

A one pound package would be good for 2 to 3 people if serving with other entree additions. If serving as a "shrimp feast" then about twice this amount would suffice.

Spot shrimp are commercially harvested from October through January using traps that are dropped to the ocean's bottom. Spot shrimp are found in the Pacific Ocean from Alaska to California.
