Additional Product Info

Packaging:

Our Argentine red shrimp are sealed in 1 lb packages and contain 21-40 shrimp per pound. They are headless, peeled, and flash-frozen to ensure the highest quality.

Our Argentine red shrimp are dry packed which means they do not include STP (Sodium Tripolyphoshate). STP is a chemical that seafood is soaked in and causes the retention of added water to seafood products. This negatively impacts not only the flavor and texture, but also adds extra weight, in the form of water that , in the end, the consumer pays for.

Storing & Thawing:

Frozen, vacuum-sealed, shrimp can be stored in your freezer for several months. Shrimp can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be ran under cold water to speed this up considerably.

Serving Suggestions:

A one pound package would be good for 2 to 3 people if serving with other entrée additions. If serving as a "shrimp feast" then about twice this amount would suffice.
